I stayed in the home of Jenny Delgado (Owner of LA CASA DE ESCAZU) for four weeks in January 2005. While I was working as part of my "Volunteer Costa Rica" experience. I really enjoyed staying with Jenny - the family was extremely welcoming and caring (they took me on trips and visits; and always looked out for my safety); my room was comfortable and clean; the food was delicious and plentiful; and the area of Escazú felt safe and was very convenient. I really appreciated staying with Jenny; and if I returned to Costa Rica; I would definitely want to stay with Jenny again! |

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Costa Rica and stay in the home of Jenny Delgado; (LA CASA DE ESCAZU'S PROPIETARY) she always went out of her way to make sure I felt at home while staying with her and I felt as if I was living within my own home. She was extremely helpful in answering question and helping me discovers how to get around in San José; Costa Rica and where to visit. Anytime I left for a weekend trip; Jenny went above and beyond by assisting me in deciding where to stay and providing more information than tour books ever could. Jenny is extremely friendly; outgoing; hospitable; and helpful; she really did her best to make sure I loved every minute of my Costa Rica experience. I am 23 years old; I am from Paris and I wanted to travel to Costa Rica to find volunteer's work during 2 or 3 months. My desire was the one of being music's professor for children; and when I found Jenny in its page Web; She told me that it could be possible. She found me a very interesting place of work in an educational center of special children. In this place I worked with groups from 5 to 6 children for a lapse of 20 hours a week; working with these children has been an experience that I will never be able to forget. Jenny helped me to discover for myself this wonderful country that is really unforgettable and She helped me to carry out all that I always dreamt when I made my volunteer service in a foreign Country. From the first day of my arrival I passed to be part of their family; I encourage all the people that want to live a similar experience to contact Jenny and to carry out their volunteer dream in Costa Rica. |
