Projects

They count on a low little personal and budget in the daily activities and are here where the Volunteer plays a very important role in his collaboration.
They go directed to the development of the communities, attending the care of children, teaching English or French languages, or in the continuous conservation of our ecological system. Each one of our projects is surrounded by friendly people prepared to show our culture “TICA”.
Next a summary on some of our projects:

 
WELFARE PROJECTS:     

• PUBLIC SCHOOLS:
- Teaching foreign languages
- To collaborate with exceptional children
- To assist the teaching staff in the organization of activities for the children and the communities.


• ORPHANAGES:
- To collaborate with the ones in charge of feeding the children in the villages
- Taking care of children
- Teaching abilities and languages
- Change of diapers
- To offer technical handicraft formation,
- Handling and evaluation of projects.

• EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN

- To assist teachers in their daily labor
- Contribute to a major development of the children. facilitating to them the services and supports according to their educative necessities, so they will have more participation in the society

• SENIOR PEOPLE
- To offer psychological and emotional support
- To give other disciplines of nature heals and recreational to offer psychological support as much emotional.

• ATTACKED WOMEN:
- In Costa Rica, one of each three adult women, who has a couple, receive some kind of permanent aggression from her husband, companion or those who were it. It is necessary we know this is a problem that many women shared and It is also important we speak and help one to each others, institutions support, is the key to eradicate this violence.
- To offer psychological support.
- To show teach them that a different type of life exist and to know it is possible to build a LIFE WITHOUT VIOLENCE. Solidarity and support between women and the public and private

ECOLOGICAL PROJECTS

• NATIONAL ZOO
- Taking care the adult and puppies animals
- Observing the captive fauna’s habits and behavior
- Supporting the Veterinary his daily tasks
- Cages maintenance and compatible tasks

• HILLS CONSERVATION
- There is greater nature proximately and beautiful experiences with the flora and fauna
- Will be able to participate in the cleaning and protection of rivers
- You will visit humid forest; you will love the countless variety of birds, insects, mammals, plants, flowers which are part of the nature.

• NATIONAL PARKS

- Trails maintenance
- Cleaning of facilities
- Public attention ( in case you speak Spanish)
- Built fences
- To help the foresters to protect the forest

• TURTLES CONSERVATION

- To protect the turtles in the nest season. his is a nocturnal work and depend of the season too
*The volunteers who choose this type of project stay in the forester’s houses or with a family who facilitate a single room with basic comforts. There are electricity, water, phone, and a very cozy familiar atmosphere. Near to the house where they stay the volunteers can find “pulperías” (mini super markets)

*The volunteer can work as guide for foreign tourists (they must have knowledge of the English), in different beaches from the country.
*It is recommended to take repellent for mosquitoes, sun filter, comfortable clothes for the tropical climate work, raincoat, additionally to bring a cap, camera, video camera (if they wish), snickers and boots.











CULTURAL PROJECTS  


• CHILDREN MUSEAN Providing guide work with the people and groups of children who visit the diverse and changing exhibitions of the place

• CENTER OF ART AND CULTURE: Providing support in administrative activities and filing and collaborating with the order and the classification of the materials.

RATES: It depend of the time they will stay in the country

SCHEDULE:
30 hours approximately
Fridays work is optional because some people wish to go on a trip to different destinies during the weekends.
