Voluntary Service Requirements
• To have 18 years old
• To stay a month minimum
• To cover the feeding, lodging and transfer expenses
• To present a resume
• To have basic knowledge of the Spanish language (those candidates whose level of Spanish is not like intermediate minimum, can take a course from intensive, previous Spanish at the beginning of the work in their project)
• To have Medical Insurance (obligatory)
• Attitude and desire to collaborate in each one of our projects
• To fill the request
• To select the work area
• To prepare the travel issues to come to Costa Rica
OUR PROGRAMS INCLUDE:
• International Airport Juan Santamaría roundtrip transportation, San José, Costa Rica.
• CASA ESCAZU, will provide a Participation Manual, it will be able to evacuate doubts.
• Lodging and complete feeding during the stay in the program
• A single room with TV, cable, internet service (depending the zone)
• Laundry
• 24 hours assistance
• Attendance certificate
• Reference Letter
• Job location
NOT INCLUDED
• Origin country transportation towards Costa Rica and vice versa.
• No Medical Insurance
• Other service non specifically indicated, internal transportation or personal expenses
Note: Since the arrival moment to our country, a volunteer will be part of a ”TICA” family and be involved in all the familiar activities: Coffee Afternoons, strolls during the weekends, TV nights, etc The volunteer will be oriented about the right places to visit, a map will be given and a complete information about the different buses routes. We made an effort in order the volunteer enjoy his stay in Costa Rica, for that reason if they have some “hobbies”, for example to play music, to sing, to dance, etc., we will look for a place where he or she can practice and share with a different Costa Rican cultures. Also if he or she wants to paint, to go to the gym, etc. When a volunteer returns to the original country he or she will be very satisfy because he or she carried out this important work. Also he or she will return in love of COSTA RICA planning to come back in a future.
